As with many aspects of life, Renascance Dermatology was inspired by family. Our practice is co-located with Fair Oaks Podiatry and Sports Medicine, and podiatrist, Dr. Zakee Shabazz. His vision helped inspire the development of Renascance dermatology. Our logo, a narcissus (or daffodil), and the color, emerald green, mean "rebirth" — and so does the word “Renascance.”

Dr. Shabazz attended Xavier University of Louisiana in New Orleans, and graduated magna cum laude. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology, Pre-Medicine. She came home to George Washington University and obtained both her medical degree and Masters of Public Health in Community Health.
